Banha University started as a branch of Zagazig University in 1976 and was including five faculties only, they're, (agriculture, engineering, Commerce, education, medicine), then the number of colleges increased to when the Republican Decree No. 84 of 2005 was issuedon the establishment of the University of banha as an independent and separated from the University of zagazig.
