About
The Faculty of Archaeology was Founded in 1970 by Presidential Decree No. 1803 of 1970, and the story of it's beginning backs to the twentieth century; where it was belonging to the high school teachers, then become as the first nucleus of the Faculty of Arts in the Egyptian University (Cairo University) at its founding in 1925, and remained the Department of Archaeology affiliated to the Faculty of Arts since the year 1925 until the establishment of the Faculty of Archaeology in 1970.
