Damanhur University was Originatedinitiated as a branch of the University of Alexandria in damanhur by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 507 of 1988 to establish a branch of Alexandria University in damanhur, then separated from Alexandria University and became an independent University by the decision of another Republican in the 2010 establishment of the University of damanhur and the abolition, damanhur branch.
