The Faculty of Agriculture was established in 1969 by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1088 of 1969 as a faculty affiliated with the branch of Assiut University in Minya. It continued its dependence on Minia University until Presidential Decree No. 93 of 1976 establishing Minia University as an independent university.
