In 1960 the Egyptian government and the Government of West Germany,held a deal on founding Cairo higher Institute of technology in helwan, and study began at the Institute in 1963 . 1975 the institute has added to Helwan University under the name of the College of engineering and technology in helwan . 1996 the name of the College has changed into the Faculty of Engineering in helwan 1996 changed the name of the College into the Faculty Of Engineering in helwan
